Daniel Andrew was born on December 15th, 1887 in Olive, MI. Daniel Andrew's father was Frederick Anthon Otto Magsig and his mother was Catherine (Katie) Neller. His paternal grandparents were Friederick August Magsig and Dorothea Marie Sielaff. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles Valentine, Raymond Edwin, Arthur, Lydia C. and Bertha.
